The Strow

Meet the Strow
Introduction
This stone-like creature sits still in darkness, its eyes glowing in the presence of a player. \ When active, you hear the sound of its persistent gaze, and it's careful to only make moves when you're not looking.
Varients
The strow has a deep varient, a more territoial creature. It wont attack unless it finds a good reason to.
Damage and attacking
Damaging the stoney bird isn't as simple as it seems, as anything but a pickaxe doesn't seem to phase it. \ Be careful though, as staring into its eyes sends chills up your spine... you've been petrified!

Both strows drop strow essence, a new crafting material that can be used in

Dying with the petrified effect turns you into a statue! \ The statue contains all of your items and xp on death, and destroying it will drop them back on the ground
Obtaining
Currently, the petrified effect is given by staring at the strow, but it will be brewable in the future 👀
Future Goals
- expand current features already in the mod
- introduce new and interesting creatures to the caves
- freshen up the experience when cave diving 👀
How to Install Caligo (Mod)
Caligo by Oth3r is verified for Fabric, Quilt across Minecraft versions 1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.1 (latest release: 0.3.0.0.7+1.21.5, file size: 950 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.19.4, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.1) and platform (Fabric, Quilt).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric, Quilt.
- Move the downloaded Caligo file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.

## Coppice Changes
### Breeding
- added coppice babies and breeding!
- baby coppices can still cause their mischief, but they can only drop small / normal ore remains
- coppices are tempted and bread by anything dripleaf, including the new dripleaf vines from the last update
### Variants
- added different coppice variants
- each variant has its own rarity
### Other
- rewrote the idle animation code to be more fluid and consistent
- increased the speed of the coppice when going to a dropped ore
- tweaked coppice despawning, they should now stay in the world longer
- tweaked coppice animations
## Other Changes
- added potted variants to the **Petunia** and the **Lush Marigold**
- added lush flower dye crafting recipes to the correct crafting group for the recipe book
- added a failsafe to the hud overlay code
