CobbleSafari is a mod aiming to implement new gameplay features from the Pokemon Games to the Cobblemon experience. The project started as a simple safari dimension datapack that went overboard.
Important notice:
This mod is work in progress, and while everything has been tested on both clients and various servers, there might be some issues. Please report any issue you might encounter on discord !
For up-to-date guide and informations, please check the official CobbleSafari wiki !

Features (for players)
Safari Dimension
The Safari is custom dimension comprised of 18 different biomes, all based on a pokemon type. The purpose of this dimensions is to be able to find rare pokemon, but with a gameplay twist : pokemon can only be caught with Safari Ball, and they can flee ! Access to the dimension timed, and once your time is up, you have to wait for the next real-life day to enter again.
Hoopa Portals
While adventuring, players can see some weird portals floatings around your world. Thoses portals, rumored to have been placed by Hoopa itmself, can teleport you to some strange dungeons and dimension ! But be warned: the portals might not stay open long...
The Sinnoh Underground
After hopping in a weird portal, you ended up in the Sinnoh underground. Play a fun excavation mini-game to find spheres, trasures and fossils (you might even find rare ones that can guarantee you a shiny pokemon...). You can also find weird underground hideaways, trade some sphere with hikers or look for abandonned secrets bases to steal their flag !
The Distortion World
After hopping in a weird portal, you end up in a world where up and downs doesn't seem to exist. Jump, fall and swim your way trough challenging parkour and mazes, fight strong distorted pokemons to obtain fragments of a red chain, and who knows, you might stumble on the owner of the place... Trade them your fragments to obtain items that let you reroll or randomize some aspects of your pokemons: stats, level, caught pokeball or even shiny status...
Perfumes, Incense and Repel.
Tired of shiny hunting with no end? With our Incenses and Perfumes, you can boost chances of encountering rare cobblemons ! Thoses rare item increase the appearance rate of pokemon with certain specifics. As opposed to regular minecraft potions, using multiples perfumes or incenses in a row will stack their duration instead of resetting it.
Wild Eggs & Incubators
In the safari, you can sometime find wild pokemon nests. Right-clicking it will let you grab its egg! This unkown, wild egg will yield a rare pokemon of a certain type with increased shiny odds. But it can't hatch on its own: You need to use an Incubator !
The Incubator let you hatch your wild eggs, but are also fully compatible with Cobbreeding eggs ! Putting a cobbreeding egg inside an incubator decrease its hatch time by a third, and let you choose its pokeball !
Rewards Balloons
Inspired by pokemon go's sponsored gift, players exploring the overworld can very rarely find rewards balloon floating down that drop cobblemon-related loot when interacted with. A special Safari variant is also availible in the Safari !~~~~
Secret Base PC
The Secret Base PC is a craftable block that allows you to make your own secret base ! Unlike in Pokemon DPPt, this PC won't break rocks, but will instead works like a Beacon, but with a Cobblemon-themed twist: using the flags you found in secret bases over the underground, you can unlock passive effect for your base !~~~~

Features (for modpack makers & server owners)
-
Dimensional Timer Util : Add a timer that resets daily to specific dimensions, and then teleport the player back to where they came from. Want player to only have 10 minutes of Nether each day? You can ! Use config to add rules to a dimension, such as daily time, time of the daily reset, or if the player should be sent back to spawn instead of their entrance point.
-
Dimensional Restrictions Utils : Add a configurable way to deny players actions like item usage, block breaking AND a way to forbig cobblemon related actions: pokemon summoning, battles, fishing, etc.
-
Dungeon Pool : A wheighted list of destination the Hoopa portal can lead to. To add your own dimension to the pool, y
-
Cobblemon Spawning Effets : Add effects that increase spawn of specific cobblemon mobs using a consumable items. Duration of effect stacks up, unlike regulars potions.

This release also fixes the corrupted assets.
- 1.8 Compatibility ! Yipee !**
## Changes to the Safari :
- 581 new Herds have been added as possible spawns in the safari ! it also includes 305 Alpha Herds !
- Alpha pokemon in the safari don't flee : **they fight back**. Sending mud toward an alpha pokemon make them more likely to be caught, but one too many and the alpha pokemon will become Enraged : they will chase after you and deal you damage. You can try to calm them with balm, but they will be much harder to catch if caught that way. This behaviour only applies to non-peacefull difficulties; in peacefull, alpha flee like usual.
## Changes to the Underground :
- Pokemon spawns have been added back to the center of each Underground dungeon thanks to habitat blocks ! Between 20 and 37 available species for each habitat, but each dungeon will only let you encounter a few of them at a time !
- Two new Hikers : TMs Traders ! They will sell the same selection TMs as the hiker in BDSM, but only a few at a time !
## Other changes :
- Alpha Power added to donut power pools (sweet flavor, type 1) : slightly increase the amount of alpha herds that spawns AND add a chance that any random pokemon can be alpha.
- Three new dimensional objectives : "Catch an Alpha Pokemon", "Catch a Shiny Alpha Pokemon" and "Defeat an Alpha Pokemon"
- Cobblemon: Trials Edition support have been removed (no need for it to populate the underground ! )

- dimensional_music.json is now csmusic_settings.json (migration is automatic and removes the legacy csmusic definition from 0.2.x. The old file is still saved as dimensional_music.json.old in case you need to save your custom music parameters - see the wiki documentation to see how to migrate to the new csmusic system ! )
- New behaviour for tag-based CSMusic definition: by default, each track loops 2 times and then another track from the tag is played. Number of loop can be changed by changing repeatBeforeShuffle in dimensional_music.json (set it to 0 and the randolmy selected music plays indefinitively until you leave the area)
- New behaviour for CSMusic transition: when a transition happen between two tracks with the same priority, a 5 seconds crossfade happens. If the player go back and forth between the two area, the crossfade switches back to target the winning music, to avoid abrut cut-off when you cross a river for example.
## Fixes
- Fixed a ~~skill~~ math issue that caused incorrect placement on some bedrock model on the Pokemon Statue.
- Remove the Mixin that allowed the red shackle visual effect to live inside LivingEntoty. That was a bad design choice on my part; it made it so player could not join a server without cobblesafari installed, as the data packet for living entity had a different array size.
- Fixed the way the red shackle was displayed (direct consequence of the last point)
- If a CSMusic Definition file has an incorrect argument, it warns the user in logs and drop the rule.
- fixed the /reload on forge not reloading csmusic-related files

- Added two new play conditions to CSMusic definition files : weather and in-game time-based.
- Pokemon Statues : Block that can take the appearance of any pokemon, with different styles and finishes. Craftable using ressources from the Safari and configurable using a Tinkhammer.
- Fixed Survival teleporting pad not dropping itself when broken with a pickaxe
- Fixed incompatibilities with 3 mods : YAGM, ConstantMusic and kennytvs-epic-force-close-loading-screen-mod-for-fabric : YAGM was deleting a player inventory even when death is prevented inside a dungeon/safari in the NeoForge version, ConstantMusic was making vanilla music plays over the CSMusic tracks, and force closing was leaving the teleporting screen open after teleportation
- Decreased the amount of bonemeal required to gros the eerie Tree (it was wayyyy too low).
- Removed spawns in the dungeon underground due to a duplication glitch when used with another mod (I will not elaborate on this, apologies)
- Eerie leaves can sometime very rarely drop Eerie saplings (making eerie wood renewable)
- Added recipes to craft hyperspace windows (all 4 types) from their kalos counterpart.
- Replaced the ghast tear by a phantom membrane in all Kalos to Hyperspace recipes ( I guess it makes more sense to have an eerie/dream-ish item to turn the block into their eerie version )
## Note :
Unless a fix is required, this is the last version compatible with Cobblemon 1.7.3. For real this time.

- Added a Trader NPC to the underground : Worker. Exist in two variants : Kalos & Construction Worker
- Kalos Worker sell a new "Kalos" family of decorative city blocks, mirroring the Hyperspace building set. You can craft the Hyperspace variants by putting 8 "Kalos" block around a ghast tear in the crafting grid.
- Construction Worker variant sell Racine Construction blocks like scafolding, barrers, signalisation cones, etc.
- Hyperspace scaffolding, platforms and scaffolding tubes now have connected textures/models. Already placed block need to be updated by breaking/placing a block next to them.
- Deleted the Hyperspace Windows & Columns multi-blocks, and replaced them with uniques blocks with connected textures.
- The Red Chain now works on a Pokémon fleeing the Safari : shackling it pauses the flee countdown, which resumes with the exact time remaining once the effect ends (bait, mud balls and failed captures can no longer despawn a shackled Pokémon either)
- New redShackledSuspendsFlee option in safari_config.json (default on).
- Added /cs as a shorthand alias for /cobblesafari
- CSMusic areas can now be used as a when condition (area / area_tag) in trigger rules, instead of only playing their own track. An area can be created with no music (a pure trigger zone) and given tags, so an ambient area can host separate battle music inside it.
- Added /cobblesafari csmusic area subcommands to set music and manage tags.
### Fixes :
- Fixed the Online Feature PC blocks (GTS / Wonder Trade / Union Room) opening an empty screen : the server was requiring a Rotom Phone that the block user didn't need to have.

## Major features
### Rotom Phone
A fully functional Rotom Phone, inspired by the mainline games. You can obtain one by crafting an empty phone and by letting a Rotom from your party move into it (Rotom, on top of spawning in the Safari, can now also spawn near placed Empty Phones !). Phones made using a shiny Rotom will also be shiny, and keep a disctinc look from regular non-shiny rotom-phones (even with skins). If Accesories is installed, a dedicated slot is added to have your rotom-phone fly next to you.
The Rotom-Phone has many features:
- Messaging App (Quests)** : an app where you recieved messages from NPCs that gives you task and reward your efforts by unlocking more features for your phone or by giving you rewards. Tthe quests are used to unlock and explain the mod's mechanics, with multi-step storylines and daily repeatable timed quests. The system is fully datapackable, and can uses item-based gathering requirements, advancement-based requirements and statistics increments-based requirements.
- GTS App** : an app that implement a system similar to the mainline game GTS. Each player can deposit a fixed number of pokemon on the database (which can be temporarily increase by using a GTS Ticket), and ask for a specific pokemon in exchange (species, form, gender, level range, shiny status). Player are also able to browse and filter everyone else's offers, and complete trades asynchronously. Also supports unique trades, which are datapack-defined trades that can be added via admin commands, and personal trades, trades only visible to a specific player, used either as quest reward or given via admin commands, to give relevance to the app even in singleplayer.
- Wonder Trade App** : an app that implement a system similar to the mainline game, designed with both singleplayer and multiplayer in mind. Up to 3 times a day (or more if you uses a Wonder Trade Ticket), a player can choose to send a party Pokémon into the wonder trade pool and get sent a random one back. Supports a complete range of custom parameters to populate the pool (in order to make legendary/mythicals less common than the "random" command), including support for limited-time events where the pool increase the appearance rate of certains species. Pokémon pulled from the pool roll a random cosmetic form when one exists (patterned Vivillon and Alcremie, lettered Unown, tree-wearing Torterra, Magikarp Jump patterns, dyed Wooloo, and so on).
- Union Room App** : an app that let you join an union room, inspired by generation 3/4/5's Union Rooms. From from almost anywhere, create a private lobby or join a friend's with a 4-letter code and get teleported into a private, pocket dimension. Here you're free to battle, trade and spend time as you want. Instances are reusable and come in two sizes: the small **Union Room**, and the larger **Union Plaza** with its own player capacity and instance count, chosen at creation. A 60-minute session timer and an exit teleporter put you back exactly where you left off before joining.
- Holo-Skin App** : an app that let you change you rotom-phone appearance by applying an holographic skin over it ! Skin change both the phone's GUI and its model, so you can show of your favorite Holo-Skin when equiping the phone ! Some skin even comes with custom wallpaper for the interface. Skins can be unlocked via quest rewards, advancements, or by finding rare items; and the system is datapackable so server owners and modpck creators can add as many skins as they want.
- Safety Settings App** : Similar to Scarlet&Violet and Legends Z-A, your Rotom-Phone includes two safety features, toggleable at wish : **Roto-Fall**, which cushions long falls to avoid fall damage, and **Roto-Glide**, a second jump that reaches twice the normal jump height but can only be triggered during large jump.
The Rotom-Phone is completely configurable for server owners and modpack makers :
Apps can be locked and unlocked per player or disabled alltogether. Unlocking can be toggled through consumable unlock items, quest rewards or admin commands. Quests can be created to fit any server or modpack storyline, with custom objectives and rewards.
### Distortion World Dungeon Rework
Something dark and old awoke at the edge of the Distortion World: The remnant of the power of the distortion world's owner has gathered into a rotesque shadow that threaten thee tranquility of this place
- Giratina's Shadow** : Inside the once-empty Arena, you can now find an Altar. With it, you can summon Giratina's Shadow, and partake in a boss fight ! Bring your most powerfull pokemon to fight the boss, try your best to avoid its attacks, and grab some balm around the arena to try and dissipate this shadow.
- Dimensional Objectives** : Each dungeon you visit will have you complete up to 3 different objectives to obtain aditional rewards !
- General balances and changes**: New structure segments have been added to the Distortion World, the central structure is now larger and allows every distorted pokemon to spawn naturally (instead of only spawning in the arena), and drops from lost items have been rebalanced, on top of having been made compatible with the Item Donut Powers.
### Underground Dungeon Rework
The Underground is undergoing an... underchange?
- Hiker Trades rebalances** : all trades have been rebalanced to be more fair, using the power of maths !
- Dimensional Objectives** : Each dungeon you visit will have you complete up to 3 different objectives to obtain aditional rewards !
- New Traders NPC** : a new kind of Hiker that sell traps have appeard ! Similar to traps from the Underground, thoses can be placed on the ground to trick others players ! But know that once placed, the trap become invisible, so avoid stepping on it yourself... The Hex Manic is known for loving everything occult... and for liking milk. Ansha, on the other hand, love to make donuts, and is selling mystery donuts: you won't know what the donut power are before you remove the wraping ! In the future, more NPCs Types will appear in the underground.
Changes to pokemon spawn in the underground will be added in a future version, after Cobblemon 1.8.x release.
### Safari Rework
Something fresh is comming to the Safari, and several biomes have been reworked !
- Dark Biome** : On top of having different patches of soul soil dans soul sand, the Dark Biome is now littered with traps all over it. Unless you're holding a trap in your hand, they will be invisible, so be carefull where you step...
- Flying Biome** : The flying biome is now populated by Whirlwind, mini tornadoes that send every living entity that touches it flying. This mean you could potentially try flying by yourself !
- Fighting Biome**: The fighting biome is now covered in various Gym-related equipement, like a wooden manequin or even a punching bag ! I doubt pokemon will actually use them, but it fits the theme.
- Psychic Biome** : The psychic biome now looks a lot like a certain distortion work. This allows you to get two new kind of stone and bricks/stairs/slab variants, along with the distorted flowers from the Distortion world !
- Steel Biome** : The stell biome is now littered. yeah, literally : a lot of rusty iron blocks, piles of rust and compacted trash blocks are found all over it's surface. But thankfully, using a blast-furnace, you can turn rusty iron blocks into iron nuggets, and the compacted trash blocks drops nuggets and raw ore, and if you're lucky, it could even drop a **Tinkagear**, which can be used to replace the diamond in many of the mod's technological crafting recipes.
- Ghost Biome**: The ghost biome is covered in tombstones, eeries flowers and flowery bushes, lonely lampposts, eeries threes with very thin logs and potted eeries saplings.
- Ground and Poison Biomes** : Both biomes now respectively have Mud Piles and Sludges Piles. Thoses slow you down when you walk in it, and the sludge pile even poison you.
- Fire, Water and Dragon Biomes** : Thoses 3 biomes now have new hazard: respectivelu Volcanic Craters, Hot Geysers and Draconic Craters. When something step on thoses, be ready to run, as something might erupt from it !
- Other biomes changes** : The Fairy Biome now have cherry tree (for the girlies) and the Ice Biome are now made of snow with ice structures. In every biomes, ores no longer generate, and wild egg nests are now twice as common. That change was made thanks to an angry tiktok comment that said the mod only use was to have an iron famr dimension.
### CSBoss Battle System
A custom real-time "dodge fight"-kind of boss battle, completely independent from Cobblemon battles, where the goal is to survive waves of attacks.
1. A **Boss Anchor** block summons the boss above it through a portal sequence, registers every player nearby as a participant, and switches the arena's reactive blocks into battle mode.
2. Bosses are defined by datapack: Cobblemon species model, display name, boss bar duration, multiple phases, attack move set, music, rewards, etc. The fight scales with the participants' party levels : a party of 6 level 100 pokemon will be the fastest, wherease only having a single level one pokemon will make it the slowest.
3. A large catalogue of typed attack patterns : homing shadows, bullet-hell volleys, meteor showers, ground eruptions, shockwave rings, laser beams, pile barrages, rings, waves, summoned minions, etc. Current move pool includes 30 moves, but the goal is to have between 50 and 70 moves spread across the 18 Pokémon types.
4. Arena blocks that react to the fight: a **Mimic Block** that disguises itself as any block and appears only during battle, a **Distortion Door** that seals the arena, and a **Balm Dispenser** that hands out a stack of the new **Balm** item.
5. **Balm** are an item player can throw at the boss to decrease its health considerably, and make the fight go faster. Sometimes, using them is the only way to defeat the boss in time.
6. Arena safety rules: wild spawns are blocked around an active arena, Pokémon can't be sent out inside it, and stray Pokémon are cleared when the fight starts.
For now, the only actual use of the system is in the distortion world, but the system works and can be used by admin and modpack owners. In the future, more dungeon and even boss-rush dungeon will be added to use the feature.
### CSMusic System
A custom music system that lets sever admins/modpack makers design audio soundscapes for their world.
1. A custom client audio engine running in parralel to vanilla playback, able to seek inside a track , allowing things such as tracks crossfading.
2. Tracks are defined by datapack with an **intro / loop / outro** structure, and can declare a parent track and tags (respectively for crossfade and random selection purposes).
3. A unified trigger file describes *where and when* a track plays: dimension, biome, biome tag, battle, battle type, or even the species and form of the wild Pokémon you're fighting.
4. **Areas Playback** : you can create areas, boxes drawn per dimension and bound to a track, created and edited entirely through commands, allowing you to have town or building music.
5. Synchronized parent/child crossfade in both directions: the wild battle theme starts exactly where the overworld theme was, and the overworld theme resumes where the battle theme left it.
6. Full boss integration: fight music on start, seamless transition between boss phases, victory outro, hard cut on defeat.
### Dimensional Objectives
A system that adds instanced objectives per dungeon instance or per dimension.
1. Three tasks are rolled for each player, per dimension and per dungeon instance, from a datapack-defined pool.
2. 16 task types covering pokemon catches (per unique, per species or per type), npc-trades, boss fights and dungeon-related tasks like underground digging.
3. Each task grants its own reward, and completing all three grants a final reward.
4. All of the information is shown inside an animated objectives HUD with open and closed states, freely placeable, with its own toggle keybind and client-side configuration file.
### Statistics & Advancements
1. 21 custom statistics tracking CobbleSafari's exclusive mechanics : time spent per dimension, safari catches and flee-outs, bait and mud balls thrown, Hoopa portals explored, underground digs, Roto-Glides, trades and Union Room sessions.
2. 26 advancements built on top of them, in their own advancement tab.
## Minor features
- Online Features PC** : If rotom-phones are not your thing, or if you want to be able to access the onlines features from your own pokemon center, you can craft 3 different PC that each act as a way to access such features.
- Traps** : Inspired by the sinnoh underground, a new underground NPC will sell thoses to you. Invisible to players unless they sneak, hold a trap or are in creative, they trigger on any living entity walking over them. There's 10 different traps, and they all come with a reinforced, more dangerous variant : darkness, explosion, fart, fire, gravity, move, rock, slow, teleport and wind.
- The Red Chain** : After charging your throw by holding right click , it throws a projectile that freezes any living entity it touches for 5 seconds; Pokémon are instead frozen for 15 seconds and become a guaranteed capture. A frozen target can't move, attack, use items or act through Cobblemon. The Red Chain can crafted from 8 red chain fragments and one red chain core, given to only one player when giratina's shadow is defeated.
- Lost Item rework** : the block now draws from four separate loot pools (berries, candies, balls, treasures) with a configurable roll count, and supports three loot modes (weighted pools, a single loot table, or a fixed item), all editable through a command-block-style creative GUI with defaults in
misc_config.json. - Auspicious Pokéball blocks** : a floating, glowing loot block in a large and a small variant, claimable once per player, with the same creative configuration GUI.
- Two new donut powers** :
Big Haulincreases the number of items rolled from Lost Items and Auspicious Pokéballs,Itemincreases the draw weight of a chosen item category. - Surprise Donut** : wrapped donut items per rank and flavor that turn into a valid, fully rolled CobbleSafari donut when used.
- Tinkhammer** : a new tool with diamond-axe-level durability, repairable at an anvil with Tinkagears, used to configure survival-mode blocks.
- Teleport Pad** : flat pads working in pairs, in three modes (top, bottom, front), pairing automatically over up to 100 blocks along a clear path, with links stored relative to the pad's facing so they survive structure rotation. Stand on one and press jump to be teleported to its partner. To configure it, you'll need to craft a Tinkhammer using Tinkagears.
- Sparkling Power 3** : the level 3 variant of each Sparkling power now guarantees at least one shiny of the matching type during its duration, at an unpredictable moment, on top of the existing rate boost.
- Partner Ribbon titles** : Pokémon holding Cobblemon's Partner Ribbon now display the canonical "<Original Trainer>'s <Pokémon>" title, based on the original trainer rather than the current owner.
- Added config to allow new dimensions where Hoopa portals can spawn (
allowedDimensions). - Added config to blacklist blocks portals cannot spawn on top of (
bannedBlocks), placement now fails and re-rolls instead. - Added config to change the cooldown between Giratina Core trades.
- Added a
forbidMountingoption to the Dimensional Restrictions util, banning Cobblemon riding per dimension (enabled by default in the Distortion World), with a per-tick safety net that dismounts players who slipped through. - Added an
enabledflag todimensional_objectivesdatapack files, so a definition can be shipped but skipped. - Added
/cobblesafari reset systemand/cobblesafari reset system hardto manually trigger the daily rollover : the default option, the soft reset, only advances objectives, chat quests and reset Wonder Trade tickets, while the hard variant forces a full rollover including timed quest and gts offers and wonder trade pool expiry.
## Bug fixes
- Fixed
/cobblesafari reset dungeonsometimes not deleting dungeon structures : deletion now goes through the same asynchronous pipeline as natural portal expiry, with a persisted "scheduled for deletion" list resumed at server startup. - Fixed dungeon slots being freed while their structure was still in place (for example after a crash mid-cleanup), which caused new dungeons to generate on top of old ones.
- Fixed two players entering the same portal within a few ticks each triggering their own slot allocation and structure generation, leaving an orphan dungeon behind.
- Fixed a watchdog-related server crash during dungeon cleanup : chunk loading was blocking the main thread. Cleanup is now genuinely non-blocking, uses an adaptive per-tick budget, and flushes cleaned chunks before releasing the instance.
- Fixed dungeon cleanup to use the structure's real bounding box.
- Fixed a memory leak where every jigsaw structure generated by the server ( villages, trial chambers, anything ) left a permanent entry in the dungeon bounds cache.
- Fixed a Safari economy exploit : when the entry fee was enabled, the daily reset credited free playtime to everyone, letting players enter the Safari without paying through any third-party teleport. Safari time now resets to 0 when the fee is enabled, and the teleporter credits time only after payment, without asking again until the time runs out.
- Fixed players who entered a timed dimension through a path that didn't arm the timer (third-party teleport mods, commands) staying inside indefinitely.
- Fixed player edits to
dimensional_restrictions_config.jsonbeing overwritten at every reload and every launch for some reason. - Fixed Cobblemon tumblestone being placeable in restricted dimensions.
- All texture-less configuration screens now share a single base class, so panel width, titles, field labels and button rows are consistent across all the creative-utilities GUIs.
The Rotom-Phone has many apps:
### Distortion Dungeon Rework

- Added config to allow new dimensions where Hoopa portals can spawn (
allowedDimensions). - Added config to blacklist blocks portals cannot spawn on top of (

- Fixed a critical bug that prevented pokemon from gaining EVs due to a Donut Power.
- A new look for the Portal** ! This look applies to both regular and shader version of the portal. Shader version might change based on feedback.
- Added a config option to make it so a portal doesn't always spawn at every attempt. ( dungeon_spawn_config.json -> "spawnChance" )
- Attempting to use a Safari Teleporter once you ran out of time now shows how much time is left before the reset.
# Fixes
- Fixed performances issues caused by the crash fix from 0.2.1. Dungeon deletion is now more spread out to avoid suttering, while still fixing said issue.
- Fixed a rare issue where the dimensional_restrictions_config.json were overwritten if you modified certains settings.
- Fixed an audio corruption issue on the BGM of 0.2.1
# Extra : Z-A Donuts Preview
As a sneak peak of the next dungeon, the Donuts mechanics from Pokemon Legends: Z-A are were added. This is a preview, and is not intended for normal gameplay: all items can be found in the creative menu.
Use a Donut Mix and any regular Butter from the mod (Except Extra-Butter) in the Cooking Pot to make a bland donut. Add bearies as seasoning to create a donut that will gives out several Donut Powers to spice up your gameplay !
- If you are a modpack maker or a server owner**, please do not add donuts to your economy or gameplay loop: This is still a work in progress, and I cannot ensure the long-term stability of every Power currently availible. Please do not manually apply the "Alpha Power" effect as it will cause a crash if you are not playing with cobblemon 1.8.0.
- Note** : This release is compatible with cobblemon 1.7.3. It has also been tested with multiple Cobblemon 1.8.0 Pre-release build, and should run correctly on the official release. The next major update will only support Cobblemon 1.8 onward.

- Death inside the safari, a dungeon or any dimension with a timer will now simply kick you out of the dimension instead actually killing you**. No more loosing your items in the safari or getting aggro by mobs in the distortion world.
- Changed "allowMultiplePayment" to "allowPaidReentry" in safari_config.json: allowing re-entry, even when fee is disabled for the first visit, allows subsequent visit to the safari (but this time, paid). It uses the same logic as the entree fee (so either one item or cobbledollar amount).
- Added "enableNotification" to dungeon_spawn_config.json: when set to false, it deactivate the notification whenever a new hoopa ring spawns. It's set to true by default (same behaviour as current)
## Fixes:
- Fixed a rare crash that happened when the main server thread wasn't able to load the chunks to be deleted when deleting a dungeon. (This behaviour could happen when using optimisation mod or when using Sable)
- Fixed the Distortion Portal sometime not working due to anticheats and vanilla anti-fly, and added some sounds to it. Right-clicking the portal also teleports you in case you cannot walk trough it for some reason.

- Distortion World Dungeon**:
- Distorted Pokemons**: Inhabiting the Distortion World's Arena, Distorted Pokemon are ghost created by the leftover energy of fragments of the Red Chain. They are high-leveled pokemon with at 50% boost on all stats. Fight them in battle for a chance to obtain that said fragment.
- Red Crystals**: If you bring a Red Chain Fragment to the Turnback Cave, Giratina, he will turn it into a Red Crystal. Red Crystals are used to distort a pokemon’s features: it can randomize it’s level, it’s caught ball, it’s EVs or IVs, it’s gender and sometime event randomize it’s shiny status.
### Minors Features :
- Creative-mode Hoopa Ring**: This paceable ring is an infinite, self-renewing dungeon: instead of disapearing, the blocks stays and generate a new dungeon. While in creative mode, shift&right-click it to change netween a set dungeon or a random one.
- Changes to the dungeon spawn command**: you can now specify which dungeon the ring you are spawning should point to
- Lost Item**: Meant for server owners and map makers, Lost-Item is instantiated per-player item that looks like a pokeball on the floor. A player can right-click it to get a random item out of a pre-defined loot table. While in creative mode, shift&right-click it to reset the memory of the block so that every player can use it again.
- Lost Notes**: Meant for server owners and map makers, Lost Notes is block that looks like a book, laying on the floor. A player can right-click it to read said book. While in creative mode, right-click with a signed book to copy it into the block, and shift&right-click it to delete the saved book.
- Liquid Barrier**: Meant for server owners and map makers, the Liquid Barrier is a variant of the Barrier block that let entities pass trough but blocks liquids. When waterlogged, the liquid doesn’t flow out of the block, unlike regular barrier blocks. (Yes, that’s how I did the floating water in the distortion world)

- CsTrader**: Say goodbye to the old Hiker entity, say hello to the CsTrader entity ! The CsTrader is a **datapack-controlled** entity has a type, a variant, and is assigned arandom number of trades based on said variant. On top of that, a CsTrader can be spawned with trades already availible, or spawned as a template that has no trade until it get reloaded, ideal to put it inside nbt structures.
- Changes to the Underground minigame rewards**: added raw mega stones and blank z crystals to the mega showdown compat. Reworked every random fossil textures to match the TCG's "unidentified fossil".
- Changes to the Underground Hideaways**: Increased the pokemon pools of the Trials Spawner, and added jigsaw pokemon spawns in each areas. They only spawn once, and do not have random stats as they are jigsaw generated.
- Preparation for the next dungeon**: Blocks for the next dungeon have been added. Please note they are still work in progress, and are only availible in the creative menu. Feel free to play with them and give some feedback via discord.
## Fixes:
- Fixed an issue with the jigsaw generation sometime repeating patterns a few times in a row.
- Fixed the look of dungeon portals when shader are being used to look closer to the ORAS Hoopa rings.

# Major Features :
- Safari Mechanics** : Pokemon in the safari can flee ! Each time you fail catch attempt, the wild pokemon has a chance to flee. If it start fleeing, a warning will appear and you have a few seconds to throw one last Safari Ball at them. If it fails, the pokemon will flee. You can throw bait at them to decrase their fleeing rate (which apply a catch rate malus) or you can ragebait them by throwing mud balls at them to make them easier to catch (but more likely to flee). Both items are now given on safari entry, can be found in safari balloons and be crafted. Thoses mechanics are restricted to the safari ONLY (even the bait/mudball), and shiny pokemon are excempt from the fleeing mechanics and instead have a catch-rate boost (similar to Pokemon Legends ZA).
- Luck-based underground treasure**: The treasures from the Underground digsites can now be boosted when the player is "Lucky". Some items are even locked from player without any luck, and some further item can be removed from the pool for players with negative lock.
- Safari reset overhaul**: Added multiple settings to handle the safari reset. You can now choose to kick players from the safari during a reset (both scheduled or manual via command), to give them a grace period so they can leave or simply leave them alone, only resseting their timer. Please note that **the automatic kick is force-enabled when the entry fee is enabled**, to avoid people avoiding said fee by joining before the reset.
- Lucky Mining Helmet**: Since vanilla minecraft doesn't have a lot of luck boosters, the Lucky Mining Helmet gives players the Luck effect when worn. This item can rarely be found when trading with Hikers.
- Sphere blocks**: you can easily store sphere now by compacting them into blocks. Both the large and small sphere give different blocks, and you can cut them into slabs and stairs using a stone cutter.
## Fixes:
- Added a failsafe for a very rare minecraft bug causing a crash on dimension teleportation.
- Fixed the model of some Underground Timber blocks.
- Removed the defaut namespace file from the NF/Fabric project structure forlder causing incompatibilities with other mods who forgot to do the same.

- Removed the defaut namespace file from the NF/Fabric project structure forlder causing incompatibilities with other mods who forgot to do the same.
- Datapack support for underground minigame** : All treasures from the underground minigame are now defined using a datapack! Server operator can now uses a datapck to change rarity or even simply availibility of some underground items. Instruction on how the datapack structure can be found on the official wiki.
- Configuration support for the Secret Base PC**: You can now edit the effect price and max battery for each pc rank in a config file.
- Dungeon Pool API**: a public api to let other modders and modpack maker adds entries to the dungeon pool, without using heavy mixin usage. As an example, feel free to check out the [Cobblesafari + Raid Den Compat mod](https://modrinth.com/mod/cobblesafari-+-raid-den-compat) as an example of how far you can go.
- The Hiker can now be killed while in creative mode or when using the /kill command.
- The Dungeon portal (and fake one) makes the same sound as vanilla portal, to make finding them easier.
## Fixes:
- Fixed an issue that caused the same dungeons layout to spawn over and over again.
- Fixed an issue with the secret bases NBTs files that caused an issue with the look of underground PCs.
- Fixed typos on some of the safari spawn files, that caused some very rare crash when using instable mods that couldn't handle failed cobblemon spawns.
- Fixed a very rare issue with WTHIT on forge that could cause a crash
## Extra : I am working on a wiki for the mod ! It will contains all gameplay information, along with all information on how to use the api and change/create new datapack/config. Along that, the main page of the mod will be updated to only show a few snippets of the mod's features, and redirect to said wiki for detailed informations. It should be ready in a few days ! In the meantime, feel free to drop by our official discord if you have any question or idea, it's always a pleasure to talk with you all !

- Secret Base PC** : With 5 wodden planks, a diamond block, a PC and a flag from the underground, you can now craft your very own secret base PC! Unlike in Pokemon DPPt, this PC won't break rocks, but will instead serve as some sort of "Cobblemon"-related Beacon : feed it the flags you found in underground secret base and get passive effects!
Right-clicking the PC will open it's interface. With it, you can "capture" the flags you found in the underground to recharge the battery of your PC. Your pc start at the lowest rank possible, but you can upgrade it by putting rare flags inside. Upgrading it unlocks more passive effects, increase it's range, increase the battery storage, and sometime reduce the cost of already-unlocked effects. Breaking a PC keeps it's rank and battery level intact, so feel free to move around !
The "Repel" effect is free and can be activated at any time, but the first real effect unlocked from the start is the "uncommon" spawn boost. The boost for rare, ultra-rare and shiny pokemon unlocks as you upgrade it.
A special "creative" flag can be found in creative mod, and unlocks all effect and gives unlimited battery, but breaking it will yield a default pc at base rank.
Effect power can be tweaked by modifying the incense/perfume boost config file.
- Wild Eggs & Incubators**: In the safari, you can sometime find wild pokemon nests. Right-clicking it will let you grab its egg! This unown, wild egg will yield a rare pokemon of a certain type with increased shiny odds. But it can't hatch on its own: You need to use an Incubator !
Right clicking an incubator while holding an egg will place it in it, and will start the incubation process. After a few minutes, you can right-click the incubator with any pokeball to get the pokemon inside said pokeball.
At anytime during or after the incubation period, breaking the incubator will make it drop itself. No worries: your egg will be safely stored inside, but the incubating process will not resume until the block is placed again.
The Incubators are fully compatible with Cobbreeding eggs ! Putting a cobbreeding egg inside an incubator decrease its hatch time by a third, and let you choose its pokeball ! Failsafes are in place to handle cases where cobbreeding is uninstalled while eggs are incubating; encrypted data will be lost but species and remaining hatch time will be kept.
The incubator is also datapack compatible ! You can use any item as an egg, define a pool of multiple possible results and even tweak it's hatching time and shiny multiplier. For data structure information, see the mod's official discord.
##Fixes:
- Fixed an issue that required fabric players to hold an item with their hand to interract with blocks in the underground.
- Fixed an issue where the dungeon boundaries were not properly calculated during deletion, sometime deleting part of other dungeons.
- Fixed the "ghost block" issue in the underground.
- Note*: The last bug was caused by the deletion of a dungeon while players were still inside. The deletion uses "PalettedContainer" which do not sent any packet to the client, in order to increase performances. Numerous failsafe have been put in place to stop this. **If this ever happen to you despise that during normal gameplay** (aka not by triggering it on purpose using admin commands), **please get in touch with me via discord**.

- Safari Balloons! Skin of the balloon that randomly spawns in the safari, and drop 1 to 4 safari balls. Appearance and min/max drop amount is configurable in the safari_config, independently from the regular balloons.
- Dungeon teleport screen : The same teleportation confirmation screen used for the safari now appear when interracting with a hoopa portal. Thanks to that, player without Jade/WTHIT can learn where the portal is headed, and deny teleportation if they don't want to go there.
- Entry fee update: You can now either set an item OR cobbledollar currency as an entry fee for teleporting. Safari fee is defined in the safari config file, while dungeon entry fee is setup individually on a per-dungeon basis. A new config option enable players to pay for more time once they run out.
- Updated config for dungeon pool : you can manually enable and disable specific dungeon from the pool, change their appearance rate, and set entry fee on a per-dimension basis.
- Refresh command : uses /cobblesafari refresh to refresh the config.
- Safari Timer Toggle: Admin (level 4 permissions) can toggle the timer for specific player using "/cobblesafari timer toggle @player true/false"
## Fixes:
- Fixed the crash on NeoForge servers. That one's on me.
- Tentative fix of that weird bug that cause block to disappear in the underground when right clicking when the server or client is under heavy lag.
- Fix of the Hiker-related crash about minecraft:air. For real this time.
- Fixed the /cobblesafari reset safari command not properly resetting every safari related information (safari ball allowance, timer, etc)
