Colorful Chat
Chat color plugin for Spigot/Paper

Features
- Easy to use GUI with all Minecraft Colors
- Each player gets to chose their own color
- No complex setups or configs, just plug and play
- Works with a majority of chat formatters
Usage
Colorful Chat is designed to be as easy as possible to use.
Any player with the permission chatcolor.change (default)
can use the command /chatcolor to open the GUI
and change their chat color. Players with the chatcolor.custom
can use & codes in their messages and the server will colorize it.
We recommend only giving chatcolor.custom to staff or trusted
players as the codes can be used to generate annoying messages
with lots of magic effects and bold text.
Commands
/chatcolor [color]- Opens the GUI to change your chat color, optionally if you provide a color in the args it will change your color to that color- Alias:
/cc - Permission:
chatcolor.change
Permissions
chatcolor.change- Allows a player to change their chat colorchatcolor.custom- Allows a player to use&codes in their messages
Tested Chat Formatters
As long as your chat formatter is not doing anything wacky it should prove no problem whatsoever. I tested it with VaultChatFormatter and it works just fine!.

All Versions
+ Add Version## Features
- New automatic updater! Tired of following projects and checking Modrinth frequently to ensure the plugins on your server are at their best? ColorfulChat will now inform you via the console upon start-up if new versions are available. This is designed to be *helpful* not annoying so if it bothers you turn it off in the config!
- Menu system change, SimpAPI was a stop-gap solution and I am excited to announce that version 2.1 switches to an all-new manager that should be way better!
## Changes
- Bumped Spigot API from 1.20.1 to 1.20.6
- Error handling for 1 edge case
## Future Plans
I intend to do 2.1 this summer, mainly focused on getting rid of SimpAPI as I knew from day one it would be a mess.
## Version Support
Like always, no reason why this should not work on 1.16+ but 1.19 and 1.20 are the only ones tested.
## Changes
- Users can now include arguments in the
/cccommand, providing a color directly will now set that color (example:/cc pink). - Codebase re-write, not really something anyone will notice but it was changed.
- Tying into the above I also switched our menus over to SimpAPI to make some improvements.
- Actually made the GitHub repo public, now it is actually open source and users can use the issue tracker there.
- And more... A lot has changed as, again, I re-did most of the plugin
## Issues
Re-works unfortunately mean lots and lots of bugs, for that reason please use the issue tracker on GitHub or our Discord server.
## Version support
This plugin is tested on 1.20 and 1.19 however it is likely that we will support your version 1.16+ so give it a try and if it does work we would love to hear :).
