Client-side Fabric mod that stops you from breaking crops before they are grown. Made for mcMMO Herbalism, where auto-replant eats a seed on every harvest, but just as useful on vanilla farms.
What it does
Out of the box it blocks harvesting immature crops, protects the block a plant regrows from, and keeps suspicious sand and gravel safe: they can't be broken, and the block holding them up can't be mined out from under them, so the only way in is the brush. Everything else is off by default and lives in Mod Menu:
- Growth point protection: the bottom block of sugar cane, bamboo, kelp and cactus and the top block of glow berry vines and pale hanging moss can't be broken, so the plant keeps producing. One toggle per plant
- Melon and pumpkin stems, sweet berry bushes and budding amethyst can't be broken, only harvested
- Harvest stats HUD with live per-minute rates
- Stop harvesting when you are out of seeds, so auto-replant never leaves a hole
- Require a hoe, so the Herbalism ability actually triggers
- Particles when a harvest is blocked
- Camera snap for straight farming rows
- Per-crop protection toggles for wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroots, nether wart, cocoa, torchflower and pitcher plant
Keybinds
P toggles all protection (handy for mass harvesting), O camera snap, H the stats HUD, Shift+H resets the session, Ctrl+H drags the HUD.
Client-side only, works on any server. One jar covers Minecraft 26.1 through 26.2. English and Danish.

- Move Crop Mod default keys off B and O: protection toggle J, camera snap unbound
- Use InputConstants key names so each jar gets its own version's key codes
- Build a separate 26.3 jar and verify all versions in CI
- Document the suspicious block protection in the README
- Move Crop Mod default keys off B and O: protection toggle J, camera snap unbound
- Use InputConstants key names so each jar gets its own version's key codes
- Build a separate 26.3 jar and verify all versions in CI
- Document the suspicious block protection in the README
- Show the suspicious block toggle in the config screen
- Protect suspicious sand and gravel and their supports
- Publish releases with an automatic changelog from commit subjects
- Cave vines and pale moss: picking glow berries and moss segments works again, only breaking the anchor block is protected. 3.3.0 wrongly blocked the harvest itself
- Fix: block-break effects no longer appear from just hovering a protected crop; the handler only intervenes while the attack button is held
- Protection gates on game mode, so creative players break freely
- Harvest statistics only count breaks the server confirmed
- Clearer feedback when a break is blocked
- Growth point protection covers more plant shapes
- Danish translation matches the game's own terms
- Assorted cleanups from an external code audit
- HUD rendering and statistics tracking are lighter: display text builds once per frame, crop icons are cached stacks, session totals are O(1), and config checks skip a string-map indirection (thanks Spagles!)
- Failed block breaks (adventure mode, unbreakable blocks, out of range) no longer count as harvests
- Crop maturity has one source of truth shared between statistics and protection
- Protection also guards the game mode layer, so block breaks triggered by other mods are caught too
- Budding amethyst can't be broken: it drops nothing and never comes back, you only ever want the clusters
- Cactus joins the growth point protection, its bottom block can't be broken
- Melon and pumpkin stems can't be broken, only the fruit
- Sweet berry bushes can't be broken, harvest with right click
- Torchflower and pitcher plant join the seed crop protection
- The crops tab is split into sections: seed crops, growth points, never break
- One jar for both 26.1.x and 26.2
- Growth point protection: the bottom block of sugar cane, bamboo and kelp and the top block of glow berry vines and pale hanging moss can no longer be broken. One toggle per plant, all on by default
- Danish translation
