Notice: This mod is no longer needed in Minecraft 1.21.9 and above. To disable double tap sprint in 1.21.9+, go to Controls and set Sprint Window to 0
What
Disables double tapping the Forward key to start sprinting. That's it.
No dependencies, works on every Minecraft version where Fabric and NeoForge exist.
Why
Minecraft has had a dedicated sprint keybind since version 1.7.2. Unless you absolutely need a double tap to sprint function for accessibility purposes, there is no reason to use it over the dedicated sprint keybind, and all it does is cause accidental sprint startups which waste your hunger points.
...Well, that's what I think, at least. So I made this mod for my own sanity. Use it if you want.
How to Install Disable Double Tap to Sprint (Mod)
Disable Double Tap to Sprint by pajic is verified for Fabric, Neoforge across Minecraft versions 1.14, 1.14.1, 1.14.2, 1.14.3, 1.14.4, 1.15, 1.15.1, 1.15.2 (latest release: 1.0.1, file size: 18 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.14, 1.14.1, 1.14.2, 1.14.3, 1.14.4, 1.15, 1.15.1, 1.15.2) and platform (Fabric, Neoforge).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric, Neoforge.
- Move the downloaded Disable Double Tap to Sprint file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
