After installing the mod, you can easily change your display name in the game. The change will only apply to the world/server, so the modification does not permanently change your nickname.
To change your name, simply enter the command /fakename set --
this is an unofficial update, I just needed this mod on my new Forge, so I updated it to make it work well and decided to share it.
I'm not the author of this mod, I just slightly modified it.
How to Install Fakename(unofficial) (Mod)
Fakename(unofficial) by Kadzuta is verified for Forge across Minecraft versions 1.20.1 (latest release: ver_kadzu, file size: 56 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.1) and platform (Forge).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Forge.
- Move the downloaded Fakename(unofficial) file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
