Your world, in a different light.
Sun on the coast. Clear water below your feet. A village worth coming home to after dark. Firmament gives familiar Minecraft places a warmer atmosphere, using the textures you already have.

Shaders off on the left. Firmament on the right, in every comparison below.
Colours stay rich without turning neon, and daylight keeps its contrast. The sky is a deep blue with warm twilight bands, sunlit clouds have white tops, and the water is clear enough to see the sand below.

On calm mornings, a low mist settles in the valleys and over the water, then clears as the sun climbs.

Nights stay dark and calm. Torches and lanterns glow from gold to amber, moonlight follows the moon's phases, and stars twinkle overhead. On clear nights, the Milky Way crosses the sky.

The Nether is deep and shadowy, and its lava lakes keep their orange glow. The End island has shape under a violet sky. Each dimension keeps its own character.

Start with High. Balanced lowers the cost; Ultra raises the quality. The Color screen tunes contrast, saturation, vibrance and white balance. Eye adaptation, vignette, sharpening, morning mist and the Milky Way can each be adjusted or switched off. The settings are available in English and Russian.

- Install Iris and Sodium builds matching your Minecraft version.
- Drop the Firmament ZIP into
shaderpacks. Keep it zipped. - Open Video Settings → Shader Packs, select Firmament, and choose High.
This is a client shader; your server doesn't need it. For Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3, use the OpenGL renderer.

Gameplay-tested on Java 1.21.1 / NeoForge 21.1.228 / Iris 1.8.12 / Sodium 0.6.13. The extra Minecraft targets in the download files have automated checks; their game tests, and Fabric game tests, are still pending.
Reflections only see what the camera sees. Waterlogged blocks and overlapping transparent surfaces can show artifacts; underwater reflections are disabled to keep the view clear. After reloading chunks with F3+A, shadows of blocks outside your view appear once you look at them. OptiFine, ray tracing, PBR, Distant Horizons and Voxy integration are not included.
Screenshots: real Minecraft 1.21.1 frames of Firmament 0.3 on the High preset, saved by the game itself. No generated images or colour grading. Clouds, waves and mobs can move between the two halves of a comparison.

+ Add Version- Richer colour, calmer light.** Firmament no longer looks as if the brightness
nights, caves, the Nether and the End keep their mood.
- New tone curve:** a hue-preserving filmic curve keeps mid-grey where it
white; only real highlights such as the sun roll off to white.
- Juicier colour, not neon:** vibrance lifts sky, sand, blossoms and grass,
- Eye adaptation:** centre-weighted metering, and dark scenes are no longer
- Sky:** a deep blue sky with a blue horizon, warm twilight bands, a sun halo,
- Morning mist:** low fog in valleys and over water at sunrise (optional).
- Clouds:** white sunlit tops over grey bases.
- Light:** torches and lanterns fall off naturally from golden to amber, and
- Nether and End:** relit. The Nether is dark and deep instead of a glowing red
- Rain** falls as grey streaks.
- New settings:** Eye adaptation, Contrast, Vibrance, White balance, Vignette,
