Overview
HeadsPlus is one of the most ambitious heads plugin out there, achieving what other plugins have not, and picking up on the smallest details that developers have never thought of before to make one of Minecraft's most valuable items - skulls - bring a whole new world to servers.
The plugin was originally created to replace another heads plugin which was no longer updated and thus wouldn't work on newer versions - except now, HeadsPlus has brought classic concepts to life again with more interesting and exciting additions, and is constantly updated with more exciting features and has an active and committed developer.
Features
- Retrieval of player/custom heads via three different commands: /head, /heads and /myhead.
- A head blacklist/whitelist of which stops players placing heads that belong to specific players - these heads being considered inappropriate.
- Entities can drop their head upon death; and is 99% configurable!*
- A crafting feature, letting you craft heads from shapeless recipes - often consisting of an empty skull and a specific material - or shaped recipes that are completely configurable and incredibly flexible.
- The majority of messages in the plugin are completely configurable.
- A heads selector (/heads) - PLEASE note this is not a database!**
- The ability to sell heads with fully configurable prices.***
- Three different leaderboards for the hunting, selling and crafting skills to compare player scores of others!
- Hundreds of challenges pre-built into the plugin, all with configurable rewards!
- 1.15.2 to 1.19 support.
- A debugging mechanic to help identify the causes of errors easier when reporting an issue.
- The ability to "pick" up heads using the "pick block" button.
- Masks, of which when worn apply potion effects of your choice!
- MySQL support for storing leaderboard data.
- A levelling system, which is also 100% configurable.
* Multiple textures, display names, chances, lores, mask effects/amplifiers and "interact names" - of which are used when clicking on a head - are configurable.
** HeadsPlus is not an extensive or advanced database plugin. This has caused a lot of misunderstanding about it and has led to users of the plugin comparing this to other premium plugins, bullying people into making said plugins free - that is not the aim of this plugin. Only a limited range of heads are available (around 200), however, you can add your own. Rather than compare this plugin to the premium ones, why don't you just go and buy that plugin instead, or find an alternate one?

Like every other plugin, HeadsPlus is not a perfectly coded plugin. Since starting my new year in school, I have no longer had time to put quantity over quality, and now make sure to extensively test each feature before it is released as a new version.

Sorry for my sluggishness here and there - to say it's been a rough start to the year is an understatement, but if you want good news, it'll hopefully be over by July, and I'll have to look into modernising HeadsPlus regardless because of Paper and Spigot's divorce (otherwise known as the soft spoon).
# IMPORTANT - DATABASE FAULT
Because of a bug I was not aware of until yesterday, there is a fault in HeadsPlus 7.1.5 that would duplicate statistic entries, despite there being checks in place to prevent it (I believe this was because of another error when trying to save stats to the database). Whilst this visually did nothing, it would result in the database not only being larger than intended, but following an update to another dev build that fixed the aforementioned error, all duplicated entries in the database would be updated, meaning when someone kills a mob that drops a head, it would count it multiple times instead of once.
This update fully reverses that effect, including the database entries being updated multiple times - thus, if you used 7.1.5 and updated to the dev build, you may find that your statistics get lowered - this is expected. It will not un-complete any challenges that would've otherwise been completed (this decision I will leave to server owners/admins). The plugin will automatically detect if the fault is present and reverse its impact, and should complete relatively quickly, but if you have a large server of 10000> players who have joined in the past, I would recommend putting the server in a whitelist temporarily to prevent any issues that may occur (a roughly 850~ player server took 0.2 seconds on SQLite and 1 second on an external MariaDB database to convert).
If you believe something went wrong with the conversion, the old stats are saved into a separate table in the database called headsplus_stats_old, which you can send over to me to check. This process has been thoroughly tested, but do make a backup of the database if you're worried.
I do apologise for the oversight on this - I've been able to add support for the new 1.21.5 mob variants to make up for this (which I have not been able to do already because of backbreaking assignments and exams). When I get back to HeadsPlus as well, do let me know what you'd like to see improved, whether it be in terms of new features, accessibility, etc. - I'd like to go back through the plugin again to make it a bit kinder and more flexible.

Yeah, this version is literally just silencing that warning that tells you you're using an unsupported server version when on 1.21. Yeah, 7.1.3 works on 1.21.
That being said though, speaking of versions, HeadsPlus' current build system causes issues for testing, version updating and also CI/CD. Because of this, I'll be looking to change this build system to what its sister plugin, AdvancedTeleport, uses in v6. **However, a consequence of that will be losing 1.15.2-1.17.1 support.** This probably won't apply next update, but probably in the near future - after that point, it should be easier for me to maintain and work on the plugin, so it doesn't look like AT is my favourite child. Tchau.

Please note that Spigot 1.20.5/1.20.6 made changes to entity names. If you use a custom configuration for mobs.yml, keep a backup of the file to transfer any mob configuration made when updating to 1.20.6.

Fixed an API issue that popped up in the update after an internal library was updated (which is used for managing the configuration files). This is largely a hotfix and has been confirmed to work on 1.15-1.20, a more permanent solution is being sought after. Please let me know if there are any behavioural issues with config files.
(Also added new mob heads :D)
In light of concerns about Fractureiser, I have made scans on my PC to ensure and avoid infection from the malware, which is not present on my machine. The SHA256 hash of the compiled build is D220CA3B19276A251FBFCA04459238000D214ED689A1B72064D088B232CAEB23. If the plugin starts behaving strangely, please confirm the hashes match up, and if you have any concerns about this, DM me on Spigot or open a ticket on Discord.
