Curios API is required, First Aid mod is reccomended.
Announcements [8/16/2026]
Due to there being no updates to First Aid 1.21.1 NeoForge, it's not reccomended to use this mod at its current state until there is a port or direct update by the mod developer.
As of 8/16/2026, I'm sad to announce that Mel Medical will not undergo a code overhaul. The reason why is because I've recently gotten a job with an animation team (Yippee, yay), and I want to devote most of my time into it. I will be pushing out a patch this week or next week to fix the Car Kit and attempt to optimize the code with MCreator's jank system. Maybe sometime in the future, I'll try and recode this mod when I have a lot of time for it. Thank you all for the support. As little of downloads this has compared to many other mods, I'm quite thankful to have people who like it. Take care, love you guys :)
Description
Mel Medical is a lightweight medical mod that's primarily based on the game, "Escape From Tarkov".
The mod features medical items such as medical kits, injectors, and much more to enhance your gameplay.
Please note that this mod is best paired with the "First Aid" mod! It gives much better purpose and immersion for most of the medical items that are featured inside EFM.
Effects:
-
"Bleeding": Small chance for the player to receive a bleeding effect from taking any source of damage
-
"On Painkillers": Prevents effects caused by the "First Aid" mod.
-
"Severe Injury": a rare injury that causes death when the player is less than or equal to 3 full hearts (6 HP). This injury is more likely to happen when the player is bleeding and taking damage. It can be prevented/stopped by using the new "PAI" or CMS Kit.
-
"Fracture": An injury that only occurs AND CAN STACK when the player takes fall damage. This injury will make the player take damage once they begin sprinting.
-
"Fresh Wound": An effect that only occurs after successfully removing "Bleeding". Once the duration is over, it has a chance of causing another "Bleeding" effect.
Medical Items:
-
First Aid Kits (Salewa, CAR kit, AI-2 kit): First aid medical items that can heal you. All medical kits besides the AI-2 can prevent bleeding in cost of greater durability damage.
-
Painkillers (AI-2, Injectors, Ibuprofen, and Augmentin): Gives the "On Painkillers" effect
-
Misc. (Bandages, Splints, Surgery Kits): Medical items that can fix injury types like "Bleeding", "Fractures", and "Sever Injuries".
Machines:
- The Medical Station and The Injectors Station offers ease of access to crafting medical items, allowing the player to use less resources when crafting medical.
Known Bugs and Issues
Spoiler
Car Kit not stopping "Bleeding Effect" - Unfortunately, I can't fix this bug as I've lost the workspace for the mod since I updated it to 1.21.1 for people who wanted the mod on that version. It'll be addressed and fixed when the mod is completely rewritten in Java instead of MCreator's code which won't be for awhile. Due to my own negligence, and me completely forgetting to make a backup file for the 1.20.1 versions I can't currently go through the effort of fixing it because that would require me to rewrite a majority of the code.

This Mod is Entirely developed with MCreator!
This mod is purely a passion project. I've been working on this mod for over 2 years now, putting in time that I have into the mod, testing and pushing it to it's absolute limit. The whole entire mod is developed under MCreator. Due to MCreator's limitations and my own extremely limited knowledge in coding, some bugs may take time to fix and some unintentional "features" may remain in the mod.
Anyway, I really hope you guys enjoy this. This mod isn't only to impliment features from the famous extraction shooter, "Escape From Tarkov", but also to reflect my progress both in MCreator and in my art.
How to Install Mel Medical (Mod)

- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.1, 1.21.1) and platform (Forge, Neoforge).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Forge, Neoforge.
- Move the downloaded Mel Medical file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
All Versions
+ Add Version- Ported to 1.21.1
- Severe Injury now depletes Max Health from 20 to 14 HP
- Optimized Code for Medical Resupply which uses tags instead of Item IDs to identify respective medkits and medical items.
- Removed Flea Market and items ascoiciated with it.
After doing some testing, this feature just isn't modpack friendly. Although there are very easy fixes, they just aren't within my scope of programming. I'll think about adding this feature on a different date, but for now it's removed.
### Problems with the Flea Market after excessive testing.
- Mods that have it's own crafting table caused the DataStick to have maxxed out currency. (AKA, full durability)
- The Flea Market caused tick rate issues which in return either caused the world to; crash, freeze, or just simple lag the world.
- added missing recipes
- rebalanced the medcial resupply
- Added new First Aid Kit "Grizzly Kit", capable of fixing fractures and bleeding.
- Added new miscellaneous items required to craft new items and a new block
- Reworked some crafting recipes.
- Added new block, "Flea Market" and portable varient, "Flea Tablet" (Mod desc will detail how to use the Flea Market soon.)
- Added new "Armor Repair Kit". Item desc will detail how to use it.
- Rework of how medical items work**, which now requires the player to click and hold as opposed to simply "tapping".
- Various Bug fixes that I can't really list off all at once.
- Added missing recipes for **CPU Cooler**, **PAI**, and **Netherite CPU**
- Fixed **Painkillers** effect not stopping weakness.
(This build is currently in beta and is being tested on. If any errors or bugs occur during testing, it will be patched in the future. Thank you for your patience)
- "**Severe Injury**": a rare injury that causes death when the player is less than or equal to 3 full hearts (6 HP). This injury is more likely to happen when the player is bleeding and taking damage. It can be prevented/stopped by using the new "PAI" or CMS Kit.
- "**Fracture**": An injury that only occurs AND CAN STACK when the player takes fall damage. This injury will make the player take damage once they begin sprinting.
- "**Fresh Wound**": An effect that only occurs after successfully removing "Bleeding". Once the duration is over, it has a chance of causing another "Bleeding" effect.
(Due to the fact I know next to nothing on coding and using MCreator as a clutch for this mod, I'll be attempting to look for an alternative to GitHub so that I can recieve player feedback on new updates so that bug fixes can be put out quicker.)
- (Corpse Mod Compatability) Fixed an issue where the player's body would disappear when dying by the "Bleeding" Effect.
- Under the bleeding effect, players will take "Generic" damage when they hit equal to or greater than 2 Health
- Death message will properly display in chat when players die by "Bleeding" effect
- Public Beta Release
