Origins Big Banner

This modpack started out so viewers could play with the same mods as the original Origins SMP. After the SMP wrapped up, it grew into something new, keeping the core feel but with a refined, expanded modlist.

It’s been rebuilt by carefully watching TommyInnit, Jschlatt, Shubble, Tubbo, Nihachu, Bekyamon, CaptainSparklez, Ranboo, Aimsey, and others, capturing the original Origins SMP vibe with a modern polish.

apologies for how long this pack went without an update to fix such a critical bug. that one's on me, i know it made the pack basically unplayable for a while. i've taken a big step back from online stuff recently, realizing i need to start taking life a lot more seriously if i wanna do anything cool anytime soon, and updates might stay a bit slower going forward while i figure that out.

Probably the last v4 release! Next update (v5) is going to be a very "under the hood" one, where a lot of the less noticeable stuff gets overhauled and updated so the pack feels higher quality overall.

Big fan of where OSMP is right now, but there's always room to improve :)

This is a very early build of our new **“Legacy”** branch of OSMP.

This branch is built around BluSpring’s [Origins: Legacy](https://modrinth.com/mod/origins-legacy), an unofficial port of Origins 1.20.1 to newer Minecraft versions. It lets us continue updating the pack beyond 1.21.1, which is currently the newest version officially supported by the standard Origins mod.

_It’s still up in the air whether this will become a core part of the pack. I’m mostly putting this out there because I’m tired of being stuck on 1.21.1, but we’ll see where it goes._

Indeed! A full revamp of the Forge version of the pack, since v0.0.1 is two years old now and no longer up to my standards.

I _tried_ to get this as close to the current Fabric version of the pack as possible, and while it is not perfect, I am decently happy with its current state.

As for the version difference, to put it plainly, Origins is pretty much impossible on Forge 1.21.1, and I am **not** using Connector, as my brain cannot handle that many bugs.
