Prevents the Sharpness enchantment from affecting the Attack Damage tooltip. Sharpness still works, it just won't change the tooltip specifically anymore.
Why?
Three reasons:
- Consistency with Minecraft Dungeons
- Consistency with Ranged Weapon API's tooltips not being affected by Power
- To give the player a "base" number for weapons in the context of BetterCombat, where different hits of a combo can have their own damage multipliers. It is harder to compare a dagger with a spear if one of them have Sharpness.
How to Install SharpnessMixin (Mod)
SharpnessMixin by Partonetrain is verified for Fabric across Minecraft versions 1.20.1 (latest release: 1.0.0, file size: 27 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.1) and platform (Fabric).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric.
- Move the downloaded SharpnessMixin file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
