Simple Voice Chat Music Player
Enjoy music with your friends. This mod allows you to stream youtube, soundcloud, bandcamp, vimeo, twitch, mp3, flac, wav, m3u, and more into SimpleVoiceChat groups. Powered by the lightweight lavaplayer library.
Commands
/music play <song>- Searches and queues the first result/music search <song>- Lists all results and lets you choose which you want to queue/music now-playing- Shows the current song/music queue- Shows the queue/music skip- Skips the current song/music pause- Pauses the current song/music resume- Resumes the current song/music stop- Stops the current song and clears the queue/music volume <int;1-100>- Sets the volume/music kill- use when something goes wrong and you want to restart the plugin without restarting the server/music bassboost <float;0-200>- adds bass boost
Song can be a soundcloud URL, Youtube URL, bandcamp URL, etc or it can be just a search term. By default, it will search on YouTube. You can force it to search on soundcloud by using the query "scsearch: your search terms". Lavaplayer also supports YouTube Music, though it wasn't very reliable in my testing. To search YouTube Music, use the query "ytmsearch: your search terms".
Customization
Currently, no options are customizable as this was made for private use, but I thought I'd open-source and release it since others may find it useful.
Feel free to PR a refactor that adds in more customization.
How to Install Simple Voice Chat Music (Mod)
Simple Voice Chat Music by derock is verified for Fabric across Minecraft versions 1.21 (latest release: 0.2.0, file size: 33.4 MB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.21) and platform (Fabric).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric.
- Move the downloaded Simple Voice Chat Music file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
All Versions
+ Add Version- Persist group settings (i.e. volumes) so you don't get jumpscared when someone queues a new song after time of silence
- Show current volume and bassboost level in
/music now-playing

- Updated lavaplayer and the YouTube source to fix issues related to playback.
- Pad seconds in
/music now-playing, so1:2/3:43->1:02/3:43
v0.1.0 because I've only tested it in a testing world, have yet to test it on a production SMP server. It *should* be production ready and bug-free though.
Extensive testing in a testing server, but I've yet to try it in a production SMP yet, so this is marked as 0.1.0 though I believe it should be prod ready.
