Sometimes you want to hold a slime, but they're too slimy to hold in your hands, so there's one obvious solution: put them in a bucket. Now you can do that!
Slimes can detect the energy of chunks in which their kind have a special connection to, and will get excited whenever they're inside one. Thankfully, they're not quite slipperly enough to get out of the bucket (but I might add that at some point, configurable of course.)
Also, magma cubes can be bucketed too! Or, as I call them, hot slimes. Get yourself a bucket of hot slime. Careful though, they are hot.
Of course, this is a fairly common suggestion, and is a feature of the Quark mod. But now you can get it without all of the other useful features Quark has! What a deal!

How to Install Slime Buckets (Mod)
Slime Buckets by MattieOF is verified for Fabric, Forge, Neoforge across Minecraft versions 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.1 (latest release: 1.6, file size: 51 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:
- Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6, 1.21, 1.21.1) and platform (Fabric, Forge, Neoforge).
- Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric, Forge, Neoforge.
- Move the downloaded Slime Buckets file into your Minecraft
.minecraft/modsfolder and launch the game.
