TickLowerPerm

Modrinth Mod Version Game Version

This is a Fabric mod that lowers the permission of the /tick command in Minecraft so that command blocks may run it. This mod specifically targets snapshots 23w43a and upward. This mod has no dependencies. It is required to run server side, but is optional client side. (Clients without this mod can connect to servers with this mod.) Additionally, it is required for single player worlds.

Future Update Support

TickLowerPerm is only tested on the Minecraft versions specified in Modrinth and in the release notes. It is possible to run TickLowerPerm on future updates and snapshots, but you may run into strange issues and crashes. Please report any issues you run into!

How to Install TickLowerPerm (Mod)

TickLowerPerm by bd103 is verified for Fabric across Minecraft versions 1.20.3, 1.20.3-pre1, 1.20.3-pre2, 1.20.3-pre3, 1.20.3-pre4, 1.20.3-rc1, 1.20.4, 1.20.5 (latest release: 5.0.0, file size: 13 KB). Follow the steps below to install it safely from ModCraft.tv:

  1. Click the Download button above and select your Minecraft version (1.20.3, 1.20.3-pre1, 1.20.3-pre2, 1.20.3-pre3, 1.20.3-pre4, 1.20.3-rc1, 1.20.4, 1.20.5) and platform (Fabric).
  2. Make sure you have the compatible loader or environment installed for Fabric.
  3. Move the downloaded TickLowerPerm file into your Minecraft .minecraft/mods folder and launch the game.

Due to [Minecraft removing symbol obfuscation in this version](https://fabricmc.net/2025/10/31/obfuscation.html), 1.21.11 and older are no longer supported. To run this mod on older Minecraft versions, use a previous release (such as [v4.0.1](https://github.com/BD103/TickLowerPerm/releases/tag/4.0.1)). This release is for major versions 1.21.6 through 1.21.10. Due to a change in how Minecraft configures the permission level of commands, all versions older than 1.21.6 are no longer supported. To run this mod on older versions, use [v2.0.0](https://modrinth.com/mod/ticklowerperm/version/2.0.0) or [v1.2.0](https://modrinth.com/mod/ticklowerperm/version/1.2.0) instead.

Additionally, the minimum Fabric loader version has been increased to 0.17, from 0.15. No actual functionality has changed beyond that.

This release is for major versions 1.20.5 through 1.21.5. Due to [Minecraft upgrading to Java 21](https://fabricmc.net/2024/04/19/1205.html), all versions older than 1.20.5 are no longer supported. If you need this mod to run on older versions, please use [v1.2.0](https://github.com/BD103/TickLowerPerm/releases/tag/1.2.0) instead.

The minimum Fabric loader versions has also been bumped to 0.15, where it was originally 0.14.24. (This shouldn't be an issue, though, because 0.15 was released 1 year ago at this point.)

No other functionality has been changed beyond version support, as compared to v1.2.0.
