Introduction

This mod doesn't add new stuff. It's a weird way to start a description but it's unnatural to the author so he had to say it. This mod re-adds blocks that authors lived with in past versions of minecraft and misses now. If you tried Bibliocraft, you miss it without doubt. Tinker's construct is still around but maybe you don't want overpowered tools just because you liked the crafting table. etc.

Features

  • Crafting tables - you know what they do...
    ...except maybe you like them to keep remaining contents after closing the crafting screen;
...or, you want to access nearby chests and barrels from the crafting screen?
And once you try our dual table you will never go back. Two crafting grids don't sound that amazing but when you get used to it, you'll know.
  • Toolracks - right-click to hang your tool onto it, right-click to take it back.
It's not glorious, we won't pretend that it is.
But just make one and put it on a tree near your farm - never again forget where your shears are; never again craft a stone hoe to tile a single block.
Oh and craft another one and put it in your kitchen - knives and pans easy to reach.
  • Potion shelves and disc shelves - right-click to place bottles, right-click to pick them up.
Similar to toolracks except single shelf slot accepts multiple bottles even if an inventory slot accepts just one.
  • Book shelves - single click access to your books.
Again, nothing glorious but you shouldn't dredge through chests to find instruction books. Will not be dropped in 1.20 onward because chiselled bookshelves aren't as good as we have hoped.
  • Task lists (todo lists) - keep track of plans and tasks.
Either keep the item with you or attach it to a wall.

Third-party mods to use together with this one

As of mod version 1.14, this mod provides its blocks in all the wood types offered by your mods that you use.

The support is magical and mostly automatic (you may need to add some weird wood to a config file, see wiki, which makes old addons that I listed here obsolete.

The only dependency is Dynamic asset generator and even that one is optional. There is a backup subsystem that does the same, but DAG is still recommended for some rare cases that the backup system dismisses. Editions for 1.18 and 1.19 don't use DAG, only editions for 1.20.1 (game version) and onward.

  • removed an overlooked bit of code that writes to log all the time when IWT is active.
  • fixed bug with item capablities i don't know how it's possible that no one saw that.
  • re-added support for the one probe and polymorph.
  • fixed one tab switching issue. hopefully.
  • re-added support for the one probe and polymorph
  • added support for rrv (partial)
  • re-added exclusion zones for jei
  • changed the way tab changing works, hopefully it is an improvement
  • added partial support for RRV. exclusions zones somewhat work, recipe transfer is not supported by RRV yet.
  • fixed support for modded wood types.  i broke it when i added a system to convert minimal bookshelves (removed recently) to open bookshelves.
  • changed the way i store some config defaults. should not affect gameplay.
  • re-added exclusion zones for jei.  i removed that whan they reworked the registration and forgot to add it back in. sorry, but when porting from 1.21.1 to 26.1, a million things changed and this somehow got lost.
  • port to 26.2. i tested what i could, but with some supported mods not out for 26.2 and some not working well (jei), my confidence is limited.
  • removed "minimal" bookshelves. this was planned a while ago (you may have noticed removal of crafting recipe) and should have been done sooner. the block is now aliased to other shelf type so even if you had books in this one, alias system should just replace the block.
fix for some item capabilities and dedicated support for storage drawers.

i'm not happy about having another compile-time dependency but there was no way around it.

1.21.11 will only be receiving important fixes (like this). it's semi-retired.
fixed a bug with new capability system (initially i couldn't find a mod with which to test it). you need this update.
just a port
  • allowed modern industrialization wrench on toolrack (well technically not that item at all but all stackable items tagged as tools; why MI's author made the wrench stackable? most likely an oversight but i'll handle it this way.)
  • disabled inventory sort mod when my tables are open. that mod doesn't tell apart virtual slots and real slots.
  • disabled some weird (and very wrong) errors displayed by EveryCompat. this is a temporary solution and will be removed when they fix the problem.
chest renaming cost configurable.
disc shelves usable.
fixed a server crash caused by configs.
just a port to a new version.

this is kind-of-beta because some integration with other mods is disabled (the one probe, polymorph, etc.).  when they update to 1.21.11, i'll have to put the support back. hopefully someone will let me know.

terafirmacraft isn't supported either but i probably have a year before they update.

i will not be maintaining 1.21.8. 1.21.1 remains fully supported, 1.20.1 minimally supported.
support for backpacked V3. maybe he's finally done changing things.

if you're not using backpacked mod, you can juse skip this update.
temporary solution for the mess with Backpacked mod:
  • version 3 of backpacked mod fully supported.
  • version 2 of backpacked mod partially supported: backpack on-back not accessible from my crafting tables; place a shelf close to the crafting table (can be one block above the table base), then put the backpack onto its shelf to have its content accessible from the table gui. when done crafting pick up the backpack from the shelf and off you go.
