# 🌦️ AeternumSeasons 4.7
Version **4.7** brings a large number of fixes, improvements, and compatibility changes. A lot of work went into stabilizing the climate system, improving temperature behavior, fixing crops and vegetation, and preparing the plugin for **Minecraft 26.3**.
## 🌡️ New Temperature Placeholders
New PlaceholderAPI placeholders have been added for the temperature system:
```text
%aeternum_temperature% → 20 °C
%aeternum_temperature_value% → 20
%aeternum_temperature_unit% → °C
%aeternum_temperature_celsius% → 20
%aeternum_temperature_fahrenheit% → 68
```
This makes it much easier to display the current temperature in scoreboards, TAB, holograms, menus, or any other plugin that supports PlaceholderAPI.
## ❄️ Snow & Flora Improvements
Snow on trees now clears correctly, even outside of winter.
Previously, snow could become stuck in a cleanup loop because part of the mechanic was left incomplete when the snow-melting speed was modified. This has now been corrected.
The **flora cleanup system has also been improved**, allowing seasonal vegetation and related blocks to be removed more efficiently and much faster when they are no longer supposed to be present.
## 🎋 Bamboo Fix
The issue where bamboo would not regrow has been resolved.
In `climate.yml`, the following option must be set to:
```yaml
purge_when_disabled: false
```
A migration function has also been added so this value is corrected automatically when updating the plugin.
Bamboo behavior is now fully vanilla again.
## 📅 Calendar Fix
The following option in `calendar.yml` is working correctly again:
```yaml
require_players_on_server: true
```
Part of this feature was incomplete when the new calendar system was introduced.
It has now been completed and made safer, so the calendar will correctly respect whether players are currently online.
## 🌅 Shader & Time Synchronization Improvements
The day/night cycle system received important internal improvements.
For standard **10 + 10 minute days**, AeternumSeasons now uses Minecraft's vanilla clock directly.
For months using custom day/night durations, AeternumSeasons takes exclusive control of the time cycle, synchronizes it once per second, and restores the corresponding game rule when the plugin shuts down or reloads.
This prevents conflicting time corrections that could previously cause visual glitches when using shaders.
Vanilla commands such as:
```text
/time
/weather
```
continue to work correctly and maintain their vanilla integration.
## 🥶 Temperature Effects
The freezing overlay is now intentionally kept active in cold conditions.
This gives players a much stronger sensation of extreme cold by using Minecraft's freezing visual effect and making the player appear to physically suffer from the temperature.
The temperature system therefore feels much more immersive without requiring an external visual effect.
## 🌱 Tomato & Onion Crop Fix
A bug involving tomato and onion crops has been fixed.
Previously, if a player jumped on the crops and destroyed them, they could drop the wrong type of seeds.
They now correctly drop their corresponding seeds.
## 🧑🌾 Villager Farming Improvements
Villagers can now correctly interact with custom seeds that contain the **`Grows in`** description.
This improves compatibility between Aeternum crops and vanilla villager farming behavior.
## 🚀 Minecraft 26.3 Ready
AeternumSeasons is now prepared for **Minecraft 26.3**.
I tested the plugin on a server running the new version and verified the main systems, including seasons, climate, crops, time handling, temperature, and world behavior.
Everything is working correctly.
The default `climate.yml` has also been reviewed and prepared for the new version.
## ✅ AeternumSeasons 4.7
This update includes many internal fixes and improvements aimed at making the plugin more stable, compatible, and reliable for future Minecraft versions.
Thank you to everyone reporting issues and helping improve AeternumSeasons! ❤️
