What's New
- complete armor formula rebalance
- toughness rework (much more interesting!)
- defense rework (no more hardcoded caps!)
- protection configurability
Changed
- added Armor category, which completely rewrites how damage reduction is applied
- added Toughness sub-category (controls toughness mechanics)
- added Toughness DURABILITY type (default), which applies toughness to total damage reduction based on remaining durability of the armor piece providing the toughness
- added Toughness DAMAGE type, which applies toughness to total damage reduction based on the damage taken (more damage taken = toughness provides more mitigation to help)
- added Toughness NONE type, which bypasses toughness entirely and ignores it
- added Formula sub-category (controls the armor damage reduction formula)
- added Middle Points & Middle Percentage, to determine what defense is needed to get what amount of damage reduction at lower ranges
- added Max Points & Max Percentage, to determine what defense is needed to get what amount of damage reduction at higher ranges (thus allowing for scalability in modded environments)
- added Gradient, which allows the bias in the non-linear formula to be controlled somewhat (higher values = bias higher defense for damage reduction, lower values = bias lower defense for damage reduction)
- added Multiplier, which is a simple multiplier applied to Defense and Toughness at the start of the formula to make simple buffs / nerfs to survivability easily configurable
- added Protection sub-category (controls enchantment damage reduction)
- added Multiplier, which multiplies the effectiveness of damage reduction from enchantments, relative to vanilla
- added Max Percentage, which allows you to configure the cap before which additional protection-like enchantments no longer provide a benefit
- fixed Hard difficulty having slower saturation consumption than Normal difficulty
