**Gathering Chunks – 2.2.5 - Beta 3.6** ### New Features - Completely redesigned the Chunk Engine's textures for a refreshed visual style - Added Nether biome-themed chunk spawners for **all** Nether biomes: - Basalt Deltas - Crimson Forest - Warped Forest - Soul Sand Valley - Added additional Overworld biome-themed chunk spawners: - Dark Forest - Mangrove Swamp - Ice Spikes - Ocean - Taiga - Introduced a slider control in the config menu - Added server-wide config compatibility: changes made via `/gatheringchunks config reload` now apply to all players (no longer client-only) - Implemented build numbers and a new version format in .jar filenames - Added an option to manually select chunks (still in development – expect bugs and incomplete behavior) - Introduced compatibility with the **Create** mod for config handling - Made configs fully persistent across sessions - Added a modder-friendly API - Added per-chunk chest quantity configuration - When optimal spawn location is unavailable, Nether portal now spawns on a generated platform - Disabled Nether sync by default (can be re-enabled in config) - Implemented a world migration system for smoother updates **Strong recommendation**: Always back up your world before updating the mod and reloading/ migrating chunks! ### Improvements & Optimizations - Improved spawn request equality checking to now include source chunk position - Significantly optimized biome-themed chunk spawning logic (performance varies by CPU) - General mod optimizations targeted at server environments - Removed duplicate `SpawnChunkHelper` class that caused redundant chunk checks ### Fixes - Fixed chunk overwriting feature not functioning - Resolved packet kicks when using `/gatheringchunks config reload` or modifying config - Prevented Piglins from zombifying in the Nether (when they shouldn't) - Fixed cauldrons not filling during rain - Corrected dimension sync still occurring between Nether and Overworld even when disabled - Fixed gameplay-related text overlapping other UI buttons - Resolved server-side world generation defaulting to normal world instead of modded behavior - Fixed various server crashes - Corrected beds failing to save spawn points - Fixed incorrect chunk syncing between Nether and Overworld - Resolved chests not spawning in the Nether - Added missing Chunk Engine & Eraser recipes on Fabric - Fixed biome-themed chunks occasionally spawning unwanted water - Corrected inability to spawn biome-themed chunks in some cases - Fixed config not saving properly on both servers and clients - Resolved Unstable Chunk feature not working - Fixed biome terrain matching system checking the same chunk twice (causing severe performance issues and occasional crashes) - Prevented duplicate spawn requests from being queued for the same target chunk - Fixed Unstable Chunk spawner not functioning at all - Prevented Unstable Chunk spawner from corrupting worlds during overwrites - Fixed initial chunk spawn failures that resulted in pure void worlds ### Known Issues - Lightning rendering issues on certain generated chunks
