# LVP V1
## Release Notes
LVP V1 is the first major release of the shaderpack, focused on building a custom rendering foundation with dynamic lighting, enhanced atmosphere, colored light sources, improved shadows, and custom dimension rendering.
### Added
* Custom dynamic lighting system
* Colored light sources for supported light-emitting objects
* Dynamic lighting for dropped light-emitting items
* Custom lighting for:
* Sun
* Moon
* Lava
* End Crystal
* End Portal
* Other supported light sources
* Colored dynamic light support
* Custom shadow rendering
* Improved shadow visibility during strong daylight
* Custom Nether sky rendering
* Custom End sky rendering
* Textured End sky
* Enhanced night sky and star visibility
* Custom fog rendering
* Enhanced atmospheric rendering
* Foliage physics
* Custom End Portal rendering
* Connected-style End Portal visual effect
* Near-player light glow effect
* Custom entity and item lighting behavior
### Improved
* Improved shadow consistency throughout the day/night cycle
* Improved shadow visibility during midday
* Improved lighting color separation between different light sources
* Improved End dimension visual rendering
* Improved portal rendering continuity
* Improved nighttime atmosphere
* Improved sky readability
* Improved lighting interaction with scene shadows
* Improved visual consistency between different rendering passes
### Fixed
* Fixed several dynamic-light rendering issues
* Fixed dropped-item lighting incorrectly following the player
* Fixed lighting appearing significantly weaker during nighttime
* Fixed daylight shadows becoming too faint around midday
* Fixed several End sky rendering issues
* Fixed fog behavior across supported dimensions
* Fixed visual artifacts around End Portal rendering
* Fixed several rendering-pass conflicts between lighting and shadows
* Fixed multiple shader compilation and pipeline issues discovered during development
### Performance
* Continued optimization of the V1 rendering pipeline
* Reduced unnecessary shader calculations where possible
* Improved rendering stability across major shader passes
> Performance optimization is still an ongoing part of LVP development. V1 prioritizes establishing the rendering architecture and visual foundation before deeper optimization work.
### Compatibility
* Designed for Minecraft Java Edition with Iris Shader support.
* Compatibility may vary depending on Minecraft, Iris, Sodium, GPU, and other rendering-related mods.
* LVP is actively developed and may contain experimental rendering features.
## Known Limitations
* Dynamic lighting can still have a significant performance impact.
* Some lighting effects may behave differently depending on the rendering pass used by Minecraft/Iris.
* Certain entity and item lighting cases remain under active development.
* Some visual effects are experimental and may change in future versions.
## Development Status
**LVP V1 — Initial Major Release**
V1 establishes the core rendering architecture of LVP. Future updates will focus primarily on stability, optimization, lighting accuracy, and visual refinement rather than simply adding more effects.
### Version Philosophy
**V1 → Build the foundation.**
**V1.x → Stabilize and optimize.**
**V2 → Expand the rendering architecture.**
