# SimpleTranslate 2.0 - Fabric Release SimpleTranslate 2.0 is a client-side Minecraft translation mod for players who play foreign-language maps, servers, RPG content, quests, item lore, books, signs, and UI prompts. This GitHub release contains **Fabric builds only**. ## Language Translation SimpleTranslate is not limited to English-to-Chinese translation. You can use it for **translation between any languages supported by your configured AI/API model**. Examples: - English -> Chinese - Chinese -> English - Japanese -> Chinese - Korean -> Chinese - Mixed multilingual text -> your target language - Any source language -> any target language supported by the model The source language can be recognized by the model, and the target language can be configured in the mod settings. ## What's New in 2.0 SimpleTranslate 2.0 rebuilds the translation pipeline around Minecraft **Component JSON**. Instead of flattening game text into plain strings and guessing styles later, 2.0 sends Minecraft text components to the model and accepts translated Component JSON back. This makes it much better at preserving: - colors, - line breaks, - item lore structure, - hover text structure, - sign layout, - book page order, - chat formatting, - HUD/title/actionbar text, - advancement names and descriptions. ## Main Features ### Chat Translation Translate server messages, player-facing menu text, RPG prompts, narrator messages, and formatted chat content. Chat hover text is handled separately, so hidden hover text is not translated as a side effect of normal visible chat translation. ### Item Tooltip Translation Translate item names, attributes, lore, NBT-related text, and complex colored tooltips while preserving the original visual structure as much as possible. ### Sign Translation Translate single signs or groups of signs. This is useful for adventure maps, server rule boards, RPG story walls, and puzzle hints. ### Book Translation Translate written books and book pages while keeping the reading order clear. ### Advancement Translation Translate advancement names and descriptions. ### More Game Text Surfaces SimpleTranslate can also translate: - boss bars, - scoreboards, - titles and subtitles, - actionbar text, - entity names, - text display entities, - item hover tooltips, - book/chat hover tooltips, - other Minecraft UI text surfaces supported by the mod. ### Cache and Token Statistics The mod includes translation cache support to reduce repeated requests, plus a token statistics interface for tracking request count and model usage. ### Hold to Show Original You can temporarily hold a key to display original text again, which is useful for checking the source text, comparing translations, or taking screenshots. ## Supported Fabric Versions This release includes Fabric jars for: - 1.19.2, 1.19.3, 1.19.4 - 1.20, 1.20.1, 1.20.2, 1.20.3, 1.20.4, 1.20.5, 1.20.6 - 1.21, 1.21.1, 1.21.2, 1.21.3, 1.21.4, 1.21.5, 1.21.6, 1.21.7, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 - 26.1, 26.1.1, 26.1.2, 26.2 ## Requirements - Fabric Loader - Fabric API - Client side installation - Mod Menu is optional but recommended for opening the settings screen easily - A configured translation provider/API/model ## Notes Translation quality, speed, and token usage depend on the provider/model you configure.
