### New features - **Grass plants as blades** — Separated feature into a toggleable config - **Grass sparsity** — thins blades inward from the randomized rims of each clump. - **Blade particles** — grass blades occasionally shed into sufficiently strong wind, gliding downwind before settling. - **Blade hue jitter** — individual blades get a stable hue offset, `0` disables it. - **Grass through snow** — blades keep rendering when a snow layer covers the grass block. - **Shader-pack shadows** — lets blades and re-rendered plants cast Iris/Oculus shadows. Off by default. - **Dynamic wind speed limit** — scales the whole dynamic-wind range. - **Plant whitelist** — force extra block ids to be hidden and re-rendered as grass blades, alongside the existing blacklist. - **Ferns** now render as animated swaying plants. - Config options are grouped into **Grass Blades**, **World & Effects**, and **Color & Lighting** categories. ### Visual changes - Tapered blade texture redrawn and raised from 32×64 to 128×256. - Blades lean toward their clump centre at rest, and flutter phase varies per clump so neighbouring clumps no longer move in lockstep. - Plants deform away from the player trail properly, and the deformation no longer jitters as you move. - Broader blade curvature, smoother low-speed wind noise, and filtered noise sampling. - Replaced short grass renders at the same height as the surrounding grass field. ### Fixes - `minecraft:tall_seagrass` is blacklisted from the swaying-plant pass by default, alongside `seagrass` and `sea_pickle`. ### Changed defaults Existing configs are untouched; these apply to fresh installs. | Option | 1.4.2 | 1.4.5 | | --- | --- | --- | | Blades per block | 48 | 64 | | Blade height | 0.35 | 0.30 | | Height variation | 1.00x | 1.35x | | Blade width | 1.20 | 0.95 | | Render radius | 100 | 160 | | Grass style | Segmented | Tapered | | Blade gradient base | 1.00 | 0.80 | | Blade gradient tip | 1.10 | 1.00 | | Blade gradient curve | 1.50 | 1.90 | New options default to: grass sparsity `0.10`, blade hue jitter `8°`, dynamic wind speed limit `0.80x`, grass plants as blades **on**, blade particles **on**, grass through snow **off**, shader-pack shadows **off**.
